I had to stop at one of the Mugg & Bean's on a South African road trip for breakfast. Don't ask me where it was exactly but I first noticed the ambience. It's cozy and nice, rather heart warming. You feel like ordering a huge mug of hot chocolate and curl up with a book and not leave ever. The stewards are friendly and fast. I mean they really look after you here. What I know now with South Africa is that this lifetime is so not enough if you want to try out all the rest stops in the country. It reminds me of another time and place and it's something I yearn to be back for. This also goes for all the Mugg & Beans in the country and to try every dish on the menu especially the burgers, salads, generously filled croissants, cakes and the South African farm breakfast. We were in a hurry so we did order the M&B On The Go breakfast and coffee. This particular breakfast platter has toast, bacon, tomatoes and eggs done just the way you like them. If I had more time here, I would have loved to try out something else even one of those gigantic slices of cake that Mugg & Bean is famous for. To me this is like home. I like that you get free refills before 11AM. As I said I need more than a lifetime in South Africa to absorb this gorgeous place and its eateries.
It was a wonderful experience. Phumzile one of the waiters gave us great service and she was such a sweetheart
-: I had a great time here. It is open spaced with freedom to move around. Their All day breakfast is definitely the best, a 10/10! Their staff is very welcoming and will keep checking up on your table, even if it's not the waiter or waitress that initially served you.
You should try their coffees, they are the best!
I would definitely recommend for a small outing with family or friends.
